Happy New Year 2014
Happy New Year 2014! I was spoiled this year by my family and friends and received so many cool photography gifts (toys, really) and I wanted to share them with you!
Humans of New York is one of my all time favourite photography blogs, and creater and photographer Brandon Stanton published a book this year with some of his many images. Flipping through it, you see his unique portraits of NYC residents and get to read some of the people’s stories and some of Brandon’s thoughts. It’s an inspiring project and I’m so excited I now have this book to add to my collection of photography books.
I don’t wear jewelry very often but this little camera necklace might just change my mind:
One of my best friends’ mom won an Instax mini and she.gave.it.to.me. My jaw dropped when she pulled it out saying “I’m not sure if you want this?” Instax minis are like Polaroids, producing instant prints of photos. They are so fun and I am BEYOND excited to have received it. Ah!!!
Finally, another really amazing gift was this National Geographic (ooh la la!) photography backpack. I know, doesn’t it sound so fancy? It’s a sling bag that opens on the side and has a very sturdy build to hold all your camera gear safely. As someone who sometimes can be a little rough with my equipment (New Years resolution: stop throwing my cameras into my purses without protection) this is a great solution to carrying my cameras around. I love it!
Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart for all these gifts. Here’s to a great start to the new year!
